Grief and Loss

Grieving after losing someone is a normal reaction to the loss and usually does not require professional help. Sometimes though, the grief process can become complicated or last for a very long time. When this happens, psychotherapy may be helpful with understanding and coming to terms with how that loss has impacted you and those around you.

The symptoms of grief might look and feel very much like a depression, and these might include feelings of
  • persistent sadness or empty feelings
  • feeling hopeless or pessimistic
  • feeling guilty
  • irritability
  • restlessness
  • loss of interest in things that used to be pleasurable
  • decreased energy
  • changes in appetite and sleep
  • aches or pains in the body
  • difficulty concentrating and making decisions
  • thoughts of suicide

I warmly invite you to call me today so we might begin the process of healing together.
